Accountancy sector welcomes launch of major new event in Madrid

Feb 25, 2022 Accountex Global

Accountex Spain – Spain’s ground-breaking new specialist exhibition and conference for accounting and finance professionals – has confirmed its first line-up of sponsors and exhibitors taking part in this major new event, at IFEMA MADRID, on 3-4 November 2022.

The event will feature a unique mix of seminars and keynotes in five dedicated theatres, as well as a large-scale business exhibition, with over 100 companies displaying their latest products and services.  This will provide finance and accountancy professionals with an opportunity to see and compare products and innovations spanning across the sector, including digitalisation, accountancy software, expense management, cloud, cyber security, mobile apps, data entry/OCR, payroll, tax, recruitment and training and many more.

The event is organised as a joint venture between IFEMA and Diversified Communications, benefitting from Diversified’s unique reputation and experience within the accountancy and finance profession, including the internationally renowned Accountex show in London, which attracts over 10,000 accountancy professionals annually, combined with IFEMA’s reputation as the most prestigious, professional trade show venue in Spain.

Commenting on the launch, Cristina Claveria, Event manager, said; “We are incredibly excited by the support we have had from everyone in the sector.  The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with companies like Wolters Kluwer, Software DELSOL, Holded, Diez Software, Sage, Quipu, Yuki, GEYCE Software, Lefebvre, ADISS, Cai Sistemas Informáticos, Método Consolida, Findity, Adaral, Unifiedpost, Centro de Innovación de Despachos Profesionales, CE Consulting, AECEM, Afianza Asesores, DreamAudit & e-Circu by Gest On Line, and Anfix already confirmed, with many more to be announced.”

Ms Claveria added; “We know from experience how much an event like this is needed for this fast-changing profession, where knowledge is key.  Legislation, technology and expectations are developing at an unprecedented speed, and Accountex will provide an unparalleled opportunity for Accountants to network and be brought up to date with systems, to ensure they can maintain their competitive advantage”.

The event is expecting over 4,000 accountancy and finance professionals in the first year, including finance directors, senior finance managers, bookkeepers, credit controllers, payroll managers, and accountants from across Spain, making it the biggest and most important event of its kind.

Association support

Important industry associations like Consejo General de Economistas, ICAC (Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoría de Cuentas), FETTAF (Federación Española de Asociaciones Profesionales de Técnicos Tributarios y Asesores Fiscales), AECEM (Asociación Española de Consultores de Empresas), CEAJE (Confederación Española de Jóvenes Empresarios) and ACCA Western Europe will play a crucial role at the launch event, providing show visitors with exclusive training and one-to-one business support.

“It is important to generate a strong and active community that helps the sector improve and move forward.  We ‘re delighted to be part of Accountex Spain, to contribute towards this goal,” says Carles Roca, Holded.

“The world of in-practice accountancy and public administration is going through great changes in terms of digitalisation, due to changes in regulation. So, finally bringing together technology and professionals in the accountancy, tax and finance world in one place will bring great value to the industry,” says Roger Dobaño, Quipu.

As well as discovering the leading technology providers and associations in Spain, the event will feature world-class education, insight and training, with access to five separate seminar theatres with over 80 free seminars. Attendees will be able to learn first-hand about the latest changes in accounting and finance, and what this means to them and their practices.
